What is fiberglass
Glass fiber is a fiber material formed by thinning and drawing of glass and is a type of reinforcing material.
Glass fiber has excellent properties such as light weight, high strength, corrosion resistance and heat resistance, and is widely used in the manufacture of reinforced composite materials.
Common types of glass fiber are: E-glass fiber, S-glass fiber, C-glass fiber, AR-glass fiber.

Reinforced composite material: FRP (plastic + fiberglass)
After adding an appropriate amount of glass fiber or other reinforcing materials to matrix materials such as plastic polymers, metal materials or ceramic materials, materials with better performance than the matrix materials are produced, which are collectively called reinforced composite materials.
After mixing glass fiber + plastic matrix material, the resulting glass fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) has excellent properties and is widely used in plastic products in many industries.
Properties of fiberglass reinforced plastic FRP
1. High strength and light weight
FRP has higher strength and lower density than the matrix material, making it lighter and stronger.
2. Corrosion resistance
Plastic FRP materials have good chemical corrosion resistance and are suitable for various harsh environments.
3. Electrical insulation
Plastic FRP materials made of E-glass fiber have excellent electrical insulation properties and are suitable for electrical and electronic fields.
4. High temperature performance
Plastic FRP materials made of S-glass fiber have excellent high temperature resistance and can be used in high temperature environments.
5. Design flexibility
Plastic FRP materials can be formed through various processes such as compression molding, winding, and lamination to adapt to the requirements of different shapes and structures.
