PP material characteristics

1. Excellent physical properties

PP is the lightest among commonly used plastics and has good mechanical properties and chemical stability. Although PP itself has average transparency, its transparency can be improved through modification.

2. Mechanical properties

PP-H has higher tensile strength and flexural modulus, and PP-C has better impact resistance, especially at low temperatures. PP materials all have excellent fatigue resistance and can maintain good performance even after repeated bending and deformation.

3. Thermal performance

The melting point of PP is between 160-170°C, which is higher than many other commonly used plastics. Can be used for a long time at high temperatures around 100°C. But at low temperatures, PP will become brittle, especially PP-H.

4. Chemical properties

PP has good resistance to most chemical reagents (such as acids, alkalis, salt solutions). Will not degrade when exposed to water or steam over long periods of time. PP has good resistance to most organic solvents, but is soluble in some strong solvents such as aromatic hydrocarbons and halogenated hydrocarbons.

5. Electrical properties

PP has a low dielectric constant and good electrical insulation properties, and is suitable for electrical and electronic high-frequency insulation materials.

6. Processability

PP has good melt fluidity and good processing properties, and can be formed by injection molding, extrusion, blow molding and other methods.

7. Environmental performance

The carbon emissions during the production and processing of PP raw materials are low, and it is also a recyclable material that can be reused through reprocessing, which is environmentally friendly.
