What are the types of mold bases?

1. Diagonal guide column formwork

In addition to the advantages of the middle guide post formwork, it can feed materials both vertically and horizontally, making it easy to use. The lateral size of the diagonal guide column mold frame is larger than the longitudinal size, so it is often used in transverse feeding multi-station progressive dies, and is also used in longitudinal feeding single-process punch dies and composite dies.

2. Rear side guide column formwork

The rear guide pillar mold frame is convenient for feeding, and can feed materials longitudinally and transversely. However, the eccentricity during stamping and the inaccurate guidance of the press will cause the upper mold to skew, causing unilateral wear of the guide pillars and guide sleeves, and the punch and concave molds. , thus affecting the mold life. Generally only used in small and medium-sized dies with low precision.

3. Intermediate guide column formwork

The two guide posts of the middle guide post formwork are symmetrically distributed left and right, with balanced force, smooth sliding, and accurate and reliable guidance. How to maintain and repair formwork

Maintenance before production

1. Regularly lubricate each sliding part of the mold, apply grease, and take anti-rust measures.

2. Regular inspection of all parts of the mold, especially safety parts. Such as safety side pins, safety screws, side guards, punching waste channels, etc.

3. Before installing the mold, clean the upper and lower surfaces of the mold to ensure that the mold mounting surface and the press work surface are not crushed and that the upper and lower mounting surfaces of the mold are parallel during production.

4. After the mold is installed, open the mold and clean all parts of the mold, especially the guide mechanism. For surface molds, the surface must be cleaned to ensure the quality of the parts.

Maintenance during production

1. Oil the corresponding parts of the mold regularly during production. Such as the pressing ring and fillet of the drawing die, the knife edge of the trimming die, the flanging knife block, etc.

2. Regularly clean the waste material from the small hole waste channel of the trimming and punching die.

Post-production maintenance

1. After production, the mold must be thoroughly inspected.

2. Clean the mold comprehensively to ensure the cleanliness of the mold.

3. Clean the waste materials in the mold and ensure that there is no waste material in the waste box.

4. Record the usage status and post-use situation of the standard mold base truthfully and in detail on the resume card.

Maintenance precautions for mould base

Injection mold sticking

Use a copper needle to knock out the mold at the feed nozzle. Do not use steel needles or other hard objects to knock the mold.

Slight mold marks in the cavity

Polishing materials can be selected according to the smoothness of the cavity. Polishing materials such as sandpaper cannot be used on the textured surface. Generally, a copper brush dipped in diamond paste or emery mortar is used for scrubbing, and it is completed by professional maintenance personnel.

Cavity sticking mold

Generally, the product and the ejection part are covered with hot plastic, and then ejected after cooling. If burning with fire, be careful not to damage the mold surface.

Non-professional maintenance personnel or without the permission of professional maintenance personnel are not allowed to remove the mold and repair it by themselves.
